Learn What's New at Old World Foundation

Thanks to a generous donation from Generac

Old World Wisconsin and Old World Foundation are offering 10 scholarships for OWW's Makers Adventure Camp in 2026.

Young Makers will spend a day participating in hands-on trades as they try their hand shaping steel, working leather, weaving yarn and more, all while exploring the science and art of these living traditions. This camp makes STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) principles fun!

For more details about the camp, visit: https://oldworldwisconsin.wisconsinhistory.org/explore/summer-camps/

(Note: scholarships are only available for Makers Adventure Day Camp).

To apply, fill out the Application PDF and email the completed application to Chelsea.Tegels@wisconsinhistory.org
OR Mail to:
Old World Wisconsin
ATTN: Chelsea Meyris
W372 S9727 Hwy 67
Eagle, WI 53119

DEADLINE for submission: Friday, April 17th. Scholarship recipients will be notified of scholarship decision by Friday, May 1st.

Campers can register and get reimbursed with a check if a scholarship is awarded (check can be mailed out in May, or given on day of camp, adult's preference) OR they can wait to see if they receive a scholarship and then register. Be aware, registration is currently open for the camp, so not all dates may be available if you wait to register.

This scholarship is open to all but geared toward those who may not be able to attend the camp without assistance.

Building for the next 50 years...

In 2026, Old World Wisconsin will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their opening. If you have been to the site in the past few months, you have seen the new entry building taking shape. This new building will house the amenities needed to welcome guests to the site.

Just a few short years ago, the Brewhouse was constructed, and the Wittnebel’s Tavern was relocated to Old World Wisconsin from Old Ashippun. Now both buildings are open and a beautiful Biergarten has been built. These additions will offer guests additional experiences and allow Old World Wisconsin the opportunity to add programs.

Old World Foundation is proud to have been the independent nonprofit partner, raising needed funds for Old World Wisconsin for the past 41 years. We are looking forward to celebrating with our Friends at Old World Wisconsin next year as they reach their 50th anniversary. Cheers to the next 50 years!
