Happy New Year! - Planning for the year ahead
During the cold winter months, we are often asked about what work is currently being done by Old World Wisconsin and Old World Foundation. After all, the site is closed so there must be very little to do, right? Wrong. Both OWW and OWF are very busy planning for the year ahead. Old World Wisconsin is creating events and programs to inspire guests while they explore history. The Old World Wisconsin team is imagining new ways to tell the stories of those who settled in the Mid-West. Of course, the many animals on-site are cared for daily and preservation projects are identified and worked on, weather permitting.

Likewise, Old World Foundation is busy creating and planning engagement opportunities for our Friends Partners. We have finalized the fundraisers and other engagement event dates and overall event outlines, but now we are finalizing details. Your first opportunity to engage with us is at our Virtual Town Hall scheduled for March 29 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Get a sneak peak at the projects and programs scheduled this season at OWW. The link to register will be available in mid-February. Then, save the date for: Friends Appreciation Day on May 21; Sunset Soiree on August 19; a Virtual Planned Giving Presentation on October 18; and a Preservation Fundraising Luncheon on November 4 followed by our Annual Meeting. Visit our Events Page and check back throughout the season for more information.

OWF Trustees in Action
Old World Foundation also welcomed 5 new trustees to our board in November. In January, our Board of Trustees participated in a Strategic Planning Session to discuss how we can grow our support of Old World Wisconsin. Once completed, the strategic plan will guide us in the next three years... stay tuned for more information.
